I usually don't think it is right that billboards be taken over. But at least if you are going to do it, be smart or creative like this is.
Someone should tell the "artists" (I use this term very loosely) who have posted their mostly ugly arts & crafts project and bragged about them on this blog, that their work looks like something a 4th grader could do, and that if put up for sale, their "art" would remain unsold on Etsy.
I'm sure that my views won't go over with all the extremely serious and passionate folks on this blog.
But am I really the only one who feels that they should take some art classes or ask some qualified people to curate their work before they plaster the world with more crap?
The reason this take-over works so well for me is that most of the time advertisers and artists alike take themselves way too seriously. And maybe people should just loosen up a bit. This take-over really is smart and funny and better than the original ad!
Kudos to DOC. Someone should hire you as copywriter at Stella Artois!
